Today we journeyed to the annual Greek Food Festival. This is the first time we have ever gone...it was fun! Of course, I forgot my camera (can't believe I left home without it....Steve and Kari were thrilled!) so I don't have any pics from the day.
We started off with a yummy lunch (of course, where else would we begin...eating is the priority!) of chicken, rice, greek salad, bread, and some other stuff that I don't know the name of. It was all very good!!
Then we headed to the kid's area so Kari could make some Sand Art. The line for the face painting and the balloons were way too long!
Then we went inside to look at the booths...lots of jewelry, food, pottery, etc.
The highlight of the afternoon:
Loukoumathes-Greek-style puffed donuts topped with honey, nuts, and cinnamon.
These things were amazing...I could have eaten about a million of them!! I heart loukoumathes!!
Until next time....
