More Visitors & Gifts! YEA!!!!

Well, just another day in the life of the injured! Kari ventured out twice today....this morning to Bible study with me and this evening for a short visit to gymnastics! She misses those girls like crazy!!

She also got some visitors today and more presents. She loves that!! She got a delivery today from Steven's employees at the National Envelope in Kansas! It was a cute gift basket with a stuffed animal and some sweet treats in it! We both teared up because it was just so nice of them to think of her when they don't even know her. It really brightened her day!!

Rachel came by to visit this afternoon. She brought Kari a cute little box with some of Kari's favorite things in it....cash!! We realized today just how long Rachel has been Kari's babysitter....I think since Kari was 2. We are so lucky to have her and Kari just loves her!

Emily, a friend from gymnastics, stopped by on her way to practice to bring a present and a card. She is such a sweet girl with an amazing spirit and heart!! Then we rode with them to drop Emily at practice and Kari went in to visit for a little bit. It was great to see her smile again. She needed a visit from the girls at gym....it was the perkiest she has been all week!!

So a big day for one-handed Kari. She is exhausted and, cross your fingers, maybe she will sleep all night tonight!! I would really appreciate that and I am pretty sure those around me would too!! I don't do well without my 8 hours!! Tomorrow we will be venturing out for a haircut...I might get Kari's hair cut to above her shoulders seeing as she will be out of gym for a while and won't need to be in a ponytail or bun!! Not to mention, it is a tangled mess from laying in bed all day. She gives new meaning to the term "bed head"!!
