Sling with some Bling!!!

The first thing I did on Thursday when we got home from the hospital was get online and order Kari a cute sling! She was sent home with the plain, blue ugly one from the hospital. Well, you know me, my wheels were already spinning thinking, "there has got to be something cuter out there!" I was right...I found the website http://www.brokenbeauties.com/. They have all kinds of "bling" for your broken bone needs!! Anyway, Kari picked out the cute one you see above. We got it in the mail on Monday and I swear it completely changed her attitude! Suddenly, she wanted to put on her sling and sit up and watch TV....for those of you keeping score at home, this is a big deal. She has not been out of the horizontal position very much in the last few days!

She also had several visitors on Monday! Cara and Landon came by with some yummy Panda Express for dinner. Landon kept everyone entertained!

Landon brought Kari some flowers....which she loved! Who could resist a toothless wonder with flowers????
She also had several other visitors including Aunt Mary, Cary, and Mark. Pop and Prissy came by this morning to babysit while I ran to Target to get her new prescription and some essentials. Busy day....but Kari managed to fit in several naps and we both went down for a long afternoon nap!! A much needed nap on my part!

So the sling was a big success....she never took it off all day!! Here she is lounging in my temporary bed on the floor. She rotates beds throughout the day depending on her mood. Oh yea....and the flowers have to move with her wherever she goes!!
