Kari figured out the truth about the Easter Bunny (Santa & the Tooth Fairy, too) a few years ago. Now she puts her Easter requests directly to me. Our conversation went something like this….
Kari: “Mom, can the Easter Bunny (as she is giggling) bring me some cool eggs this year?? You know, with the candy already in it. And could you, er, I mean the Easter Bunny hide them a little harder this year. You, er, I mean the Easter Bunny always hides the eggs in the same place every year….it isn’t that hard. I could show you a few good hiding places.”
Me:”Ummm, yes to the cool eggs with the candy already in it (that request worked well in my favor seeing as how the Easter Bunny waited until the very last second this year). I will try a little harder hiding the eggs and by the way, if you show me the hiding places won’t that mean you already know where they will be hidden. Wouldn’t that be too easy as well???”
Kari: “Good point”

Her favorite thing in her Easter basket was the Justin Bieber CD….
I now know every word to every song on this CD…it is the gift that keeps on giving :)
