OPA!!!!

Saturday night, we headed out to the Annual Greek Food Festival.  This automatically becomes my favorite because it has food right there in the title.  I swear I think they should rename the Plano Balloon Festival to the Plano Food and Balloon Festival and the attendance would be way higher.  Who doesn’t want to go to a festival with Food in the name????

We ate and ate and had some beers….Greek beer that is.  It was pretty good.  Although is was pretty hot out there so I think Colt 44 cold would have tasted good at that point.

Kari begged and begged to either get a balloon animal or get her face painted.  The balloon animal line was take a number and check back in 30-45 minutes to see how close they were to your number.  They were currently serving 50 and let’s just say the numbers out there went way higher than 100.  This was an automatic delete from the list of possibilities.  So we headed off to the face painting booth….there was a line there too, but we were told it would move fast.  Whatever…..

But they were smart, they make you pay for the face painting before you get in line….so we were essentially stuck.  Holly (a friend of mine and & one of Kari’s gym coaches) & I decided since we were standing in line too that we would get a henna tattoo.  Why not???  We were there anyway…..  So we picked out our matching tattoos (how high school are we??) and got back in line. 

Kari went first.  She picked out a Cheetah, but apparently we had a last minute change of the mind (imagine that) and went with the bunny…..

By the way, for those of you still keeping track at home…..OMG look how swollen my ankles are!!!  That is what happens when you don’t drink enough water, stand in the heat for hours, and maybe have a beer!

We had a blast….

My sweet husband is finally learning how to use my camera….thanks honey, for taking this girl shot!!

At the end of the night, I had one very tired bunny on my hands….
