The Dallas Stars that is!! Steve and I had a "date" night out to the Stars game tonight. I heart hockey, but first I have to get a few things off my chest (this is for you, Lane):
*Did you know the Dallas Stars has a Trailer Park Outreach Program??? Yes, and they were seated right in front of us. Two mommas, two kids, and no baby daddy in sight!
On the right you have Ms. I'm too big to fit in the seat so I have to sit sideways, but I think I will just stand for most of the game so the people behind me (that would be me!) can't see!! By the way, just a little tip for you Ms. I'm too big to fit in the seat....I'm pretty sure there is a rule written somewhere that states if you weigh more than 300lbs you should not, under any circumstances, dance in public (I am going to have nightmares for weeks)!! I have seen you throw down your best moves and I would advise you not to dance in private either!!
On the left you have Ms. I have a mullet and I am missing more than half of my teeth. Ms. Mullet please see the above comment about dancing in public...except substitute the missing more than half your teeth for the weighing over 300lbs (seriously, nightmares for weeks!)
*There were some real stars in attendance, too! Two rows in front of us were Danny Devito and Billy Bob Thornton! Who knew they were even friends?? Danny-your tennis shoes look like they are from 1988, please get some new kicks! Billy Bob-I think it is time to lay off the teeth whitening...seriously! Okay...so maybe it wasn't really Danny and Billy Bob, but it could have been!
*The Stars ice girls were NOT in top form tonight. There were 3 near falls and 1 very confused ice girl having a very difficult time getting the ice in her little bucket. Obviously they don't check for brains or skating ability during the interview and try outs....exactly how do you try out to be an ice girl???? I mean, I can sweep the floor like nobody's business...maybe I have found my new calling!!
Okay enough of that...the real highlight of the game...Mike Modano. I heart Mike Modano...I don't know why, I just do. He is in my top five on my laminated "free pass" card (for all you fans of the show "Friends", you know what I am talking about!)
The other highlight...the fighting! I love it when hockey players throw off the gloves and go after each other. There was a fight in the first 45 seconds of the game and one of the Blackhawks left with a bloody nose...I love hockey!!
Until next time....

Yay! Thanks for the shout out! So glad you like to people watch then talk about it as much as I do.
Oh and the Ice Girls deal. You DON'T have to know how to skate to be one. A long-time friend of mine was one a few seasons ago but had to take lessons during the hockey season. Until she learned to skate, she just stood in the stands waving.
