Neighborhood Picnic at the Park!

Today was our Homeowner's Association sponsored picnic in the park! We headed out there for a few hours. Seeing as we live right across the street from the park, there was no avoiding it...Kari spotted the bounce house immediately. The weather is beautiful and so many of her friends from school were there...so it turned out to be a really great afternoon. We had hot dogs and sno-cones...what else could you ask for?? (Maybe a margarita machine....) Anyway, the police and fire truck were out there and they had a bounce house for entertainment. Here are some of the pics I took:

Kari and her friend, Cassie taking a break from the fun!

Kari looking over the side of the "ship"...yes, I know, she has a broken arm....can't a girl have any fun???

Speaking of broken arms....this is the fire truck that came to help Kari the night she broke her arm. The firemen were very impressed with her colorful cast!!

Ok...you see the defibrillator above where Kari's head is? I asked her if she knew what that was and she said, "um...yeah, it's a navigation system." What is her deal with navigation systems??? I guess a career in the medical field is out!!!

I told Kari this better be the only time I see her in the back of a police car....
...or with handcuffs in her hand (in any circumstance)....

This would be okay!

And what would a picnic be without the "outhouse throw"?? No, we don't live in a trailer park!!!

Good friends, good food, & good times!!

Until next time....
