Kari's 1st Gymnastics Meet!!

Kari had her first gymnastics meet this morning. She did really well!! Her scores were:

Vault 9.0

Balance Beam 8.65

Bars 7.8

Floor Exercise 8.05

These are really great for her level and her first time competing. She had a great time and can't wait to do it again. Gymnastics definitely is her thing. I can't believe how grown up my baby is. She just looked so mature out there competing. We are so proud of her and all her hard work. She spends hours each week at gymnastics practice and loves every single minute of it!!

Everyone got a medal for participating. For each event they received a ribbon....blue for 8.0-10.0, red for 7.0-8.0, green for 6.0-7.0 and yellow for below 6.0. As you can see she walked away with 3 blue and a red!! Look how cute she looks in her leotard!

This will be the first of many meets....we are just beginning down this path!! Too bad it means sitting for 4 long hours on a hard bleacher seat to watch my child perform for less than 5 minutes!! The upside is at least we will always be inside...not sitting in the rain or cold!! I will try to update more often....kind of got off track for awhile! Check out the video of Kari's floor routine.
