Another school year is starting....and I am coming to the realization that my baby is growing up so fast! Second grade....they are not babies anymore. When did that happen?? Kari skipped off to school this morning so excited to start school again. Being the social butterfly that she is, she has missed her friends so much over the summer. I drowned my "mommy" sorrows in a tall stack of buttermilk pancakes at IHOP. Nothing like a little butter and syrup to make you feel better! By the time Kari came home from school, the house was all clean (thanks to the cleaning lady!) Of course, it took her all of 5 seconds to make a mess (and I mean in every room!) I calmly explained to her that I had not spent the entire day watching someone clean the house just for her to come home and mess it all up again.
Ashley started her junior year of high school today. Where has the time gone?? I find myself asking that a lot lately. I swore I would never say it, but here I am sounding like my parents and granparents!!
Okay, off to play a game of PayDay before bed (Kari's bedtime, not mine although I am not too far behind her....it is hard work watching someone else clean your house!!)
